# Day-one questions, answered from how your team really decides

> New hires ask how things are done here and get the answer with the thread it came from, including the exceptions nobody wrote down.

The onboarding doc covers the basics. The rest, like why Friday deploys are off or which customer gets special handling, lives in old threads. Galdo lets new people ask and get the answer with the thread it came from.

Illustrative example (ONBOARD-14): "Can I ship this on Friday?" Galdo: "Deploys pause on Fridays since the March incident." Source: incident ticket · Mar.

## What your team gets

### Answers they can check

Every answer links to the message, ticket, or doc behind it, so new people learn the reason along with the rule.

### The exceptions nobody wrote down

The special cases that never made it into the handbook, found in the threads where they were decided.

### Fewer repeat questions

New hires ask Galdo first, so the team explains the same thing less often.

## By watching the work, in the browser

No new process and nothing to write down. Galdo Capture is a browser extension that learns how the work gets done as people do it.

An admin picks the sites. Capture only runs on the sites your admin allows. For this work that's usually Slack, Notion, Confluence, Google Drive, Jira, GitHub.

Each person agrees in their own browser. Nothing is recorded until they consent. They can decline any allowed site, see when it's recording, and pause it for an hour.

It keeps the steps, not the screen. Page titles, the buttons people click, and the forms they submit. Typed text is redacted. Passwords, payment fields, and screenshots are never recorded.

## Common questions

### Do we need onboarding docs first?

No. Galdo Capture learns the steps from the people who already do the work, in the sites your admin allows. New hires get those procedures without anyone writing them up.

### Where do new hires ask?

In Slack: mention @Galdo in a channel or send it a direct message.

### What if the answer has changed since?

Galdo answers with the current version and keeps the older one on record, marked superseded, so nobody learns last year's process by mistake.
