# Every exception your ops team has handled, one question away

> Galdo learns your ops team's rules and exceptions from tickets, threads, and email, keeps track of which version is current, and answers with the source.

Operations runs on rules that changed three times this year and exceptions only a few people remember. Galdo learns them from your tickets, threads, and email, keeps track of which version is current, and shows where each one came from.

Illustrative example (# ops-help): "Can we waive the restocking fee on a wholesale return?" Galdo: "Yes for wholesale accounts, since the April policy change. Retail returns still pay it." Source: OPS-341 · Apr 9. It replaces: March rule: fee on every return.

## What your team gets

### The current rule, not the first match

When a process changes, the old version is marked superseded and ranks lower. It stays on record with the date it changed.

### Exceptions, with the reason

Why one customer, vendor, or region is handled differently, tied to the thread or ticket where it was agreed.

### Fewer interruptions for senior people

Questions that used to wait for the one person who knows get answered with the source attached.

## By watching the work, in the browser

No new process and nothing to write down. Galdo Capture is a browser extension that learns how the work gets done as people do it.

An admin picks the sites. Capture only runs on the sites your admin allows. For this work that's usually Zendesk, Jira, Slack, Gmail, Intercom, Confluence.

Each person agrees in their own browser. Nothing is recorded until they consent. They can decline any allowed site, see when it's recording, and pause it for an hour.

It keeps the steps, not the screen. Page titles, the buttons people click, and the forms they submit. Typed text is redacted. Passwords, payment fields, and screenshots are never recorded.

## Common questions

### Do we have to write anything down first?

No. Galdo Capture watches how the work gets done in the sites your admin allows and turns it into step-by-step procedures. Nobody has to write anything down.

### What happens when a process changes?

The newer decision replaces the older one in answers. The old version isn't deleted: it's marked superseded, so you can still ask what the rule was and when it changed.

### Does Galdo record people's screens?

No. Galdo Capture runs only on the sites an admin allows and only after each person agrees in their own browser. People can see when it's recording, pause it for an hour, and decline any allowed site. It never takes screenshots or records passwords or payment fields, and typed text is redacted.

### How long does setup take?

An admin turns on Galdo Capture and picks the sites it can run on, then each person installs the browser extension and agrees in their own browser. A procedure is shared with the team once the same task has been seen at least twice.
